Welcome to www.knowbytes.com.  Here you will find over 500 (and increasing) FREE computer software/hardware know-how byte-size training videos,
along with some electronics reviews and walkthroughs
presented in sometimes casual, sometimes unpredictable, and sometimes just plain'ol training video styles geared towards everyone who wants to learn casually and maybe have a laugh at the same time.
For example you will find tons of short "byte" size beginner videos on various computer related topics like ergonomics, hardware, Ubuntu, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, and Windows 2000 all the way upto 15 minute videos that go into various aspects in depth.  You may also find anything else about electronics, computers and software, starting from the simplest of concepts, processes and tools, all the way up to the advanced topics. If you are a new user to computers (nOOb), this site is right for you because my presentation style is geared towards new users and even children may enjoy the videos and learn something at same time.
Initially, I suggest going through the videos from the basic lessons to gradually build your confidence. The videos on Windows 2000 are geared towards beginners and even though they are about an older operating system (though it is still used in many big corporations to this day), everything you learn in those videos applies to this day even in Windows 7.  These older videos are done in an edutainment style to help you to ease into the learning process. Become comfortable (watch every video at least once) with the contents of each video and then move on. Also, replay videos as many times as it takes to get the concept. And so that you know when I post new videos, don't forget to

...for nOObs by a nOob...

Even though I have been in the computer world for over 20 years (in highschool as a hobby, in university as my major, and all my jobs in the IT field), I create my videos from the view point of a noob, a beginner, or a child, keeping the style fresh, simple, and enthusiastic, as if I am seeing the feature for the very first time, somewhat like how children explore their world, with excitement and awe.  I do this to help beginners who are most fearful of using computers more than anything else, realize that if I can do it, so can they, and also technology is nothing to be afraid of.  I also don't like to hold any pretense that I am some kind of technology superior, because like everyone else, including sooper dooper computer gurus, I learn something new every single day.  So consider my videos "For nOObs, by a nOob", and I believe you will learn something new in each of them, and you might even have a laugh or two.
All of what you see on my site, I have done the script, the lights, the camera, the directing, the editing, the acting, the special effects, sound and the music. Where possible, I enjoy making videos that not only teach but also entertain by using different characters with accents. I have fun making all my videos.Since technology is moving so fast, we are leaving many people behind. Hopefully, the contents of this website will help some of those left behind to catch up and get entertained at the same time.
